Fire Safety & Burn Restrictions

The community of Wellington is at increased risk of wildfire due to the close proximity of residential properties to woodland, compared to other communities in PEI. This means residents should be vigilant to follow provincial burning regulations in order to prevent wildfires.

To report a wildfire, call 911 and provide:

  • The community or area the fire is occurring
  • Route number and/or name
  • Civic number of the property near the fire location
  • Your name and phone number
